Brief

To manufacture three pairs of ornate double gates and build out this fruit cage as part of a much larger garden landscaping project.

Key Features

Assembled the fruit cage and hung the gates
Cedar Wood was used for the fruit cage frame
Gates were constructed from Iroko
A small brick wall under the cage

The fruit cage had a central tower with a galvanised lattice on all four sides. These were fabricated by a local engineer and fixed to the tower as it assembled. Once the cedar frame was fully assembled we cut and fixed 1” square galvanised wire mesh panels to the outside of the frame using large staples.

To finish we fitted the door and a latch. This was a perfect bespoke build and part of the wonderful masterplan prepared by the architects.
